Bathroom Makeover on a Budget | My Design Plans & DIY Ideas

Last week, I finally took down the wallpaper and repaired the walls in my bathroom—now it’s time to plan the makeover! This isn’t a full gut renovation (that’s for the future), but I have some exciting ideas to give this space a fresh new look in the meantime.

I’m tackling a few DIY projects I’ve never done before, so I’d love your input! Have you painted floor tiles before? Installed three French doors instead of two? Cut a large mirror down to make two? Let me know in the comments!

My mood board is all about warm neutrals, textural elements (wood, stone, brass), and a mix of high-contrast details while keeping the space light and cozy. I’m also planning to update my vanity without moving plumbing or electrical—just a facade refresh and some added storage to keep things more functional (AKA, getting my husband’s stuff off the counter! 😂).

Since I’m prioritizing sustainability, I’ll also be sourcing as many materials secondhand as possible—so if you have tips on where to find great deals, I’d love to hear them!
