This week didn’t go quite as planned—so instead of the DIY video I had hoped to share, you're getting something a little more behind-the-scenes. In my last video, I mentioned I was working on a bigger DIY project I was really excited about, but… let’s just say it’s taking a LOT longer than anticipated. I also had a backup project lined up (reupholstering a set of chairs), but the fabric I ordered ended up being totally wrong for the job—so that got delayed too.

So in true DIY and design life fashion, I pivoted—and decided to bring you along for a more casual, chill vlog-style video while I work through these project delays. Sometimes the not-so-glamorous parts of this job are where the real magic happens, and this week is definitely one of those times.

This kind of week isn’t flashy, but it’s real—and honestly, it’s a huge part of what working in design and DIY actually looks like. I hope it gives you a sense of the process and all the behind-the-scenes effort that goes into pulling off the finished reveals.
